About Us

Established in 2012, we are a Voluntary Support Group run by parents for parents/carers, professionals working with children/young people with additional needs (diagnosed or not) such as: ADHD, Autism, ADD, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, OCD and ODD and related conditions.

We aim to provide support through sharing information and common understanding of living with these difficulties. This may help with newfound strategies to deal with situations and help build confidence to tackle them.  Similarly, you may be able to lend support to others from your first hand experiences.

We invite you to our friendly and informal meetings to find out how we can support you.  All welcome, parents, carers and professionals alike. Coffee/tea biscuits provided.

Testimonials

On my first visit I was warmly welcomed and listened to. I was given helpful and practical advice that I was able to take action on immediately. The atmosphere was accepting and open, I will definitely be going back! PS

I have received lots of support through a very difficult time which has been helpful to our whole family.  Being able to network with parent/children support workers who regularly attend these meetings is also a great help. MF

After attending this group I had a lot more information which helped me to feel more confident attending school meetings and having input into my child's support. AC

I found the talk on transition from primary to secondary extremely helpful and now I am aware of the process, can better support my son through this. MB

Friendly group, nice chat with tea and biscuits! Martin
